What Transept AI Is
Transept AI is an AI-powered translation workspace built around a simple idea: every terminology and tone decision you make should carry forward. Instead of translating each document from scratch, Transept remembers your approved wording — and the reasoning behind it — and feeds that context back to the model on the next run.
Core Capabilities
- Document translation — DOCX, PDF, Markdown, and TXT, translated block by block with formatting intact, in a side-by-side editor.
- Glossaries — build terminology once (names, jargon, brand vocabulary) and toggle it on per project so it stays consistent from page 1 to page 500.
- Translation memory — every approved translation is reused, matched by meaning rather than exact string.
- Styleguides — define tone, voice, and rules per client or project and apply them on every run.
- Decision-context memory — the alternatives you rejected and the comments explaining your calls are handed back to the model, not just the final wording.
- Sentence-level direction — request adjustments like "more formal" or "keep the metaphor" while your glossary and styleguide feed in automatically.
- Literess — an agentic AI literary editor that remembers your projects and preferences, flags tone drift, and can run workflows or draft documents.
- Review and delivery — threaded comments on any block, smart proofreading, and exports to DOCX, Markdown, Notion, and Google Docs.
Who It's For
Translators and agencies needing faster turnaround with QA built in; content creators who want to publish in multiple languages without losing their voice; and localization teams that need shared glossaries, styleguides, and comment threads across many languages from one source of truth.
Pricing Model
Pricing is based on words actually translated. A free tier offers 1,500 words per month with all features unlocked. Paid plans (Starter and Pro) include unlimited users, with Standard mode spending 1 word per source word and Pro mode spending 3 words per source word for a deeper model. Manual edits, exports, comments, and review activity are free. Word packs can be topped up and never expire.
Why It Stands Out
Transept's memory bet is that grounding a model in the decisions behind past translations — not just their final wording — lets a cheaper model match a premium one. It's a translation tool designed for people who care about voice, not just vocabulary.
