What Story Notes Does
Story Notes is an AI-powered screenplay coverage tool that reads your script and returns a complete professional-style report in about five minutes. Upload your screenplay and receive an honest assessment of your characters, premise, structure, and theme — the same dimensions a human story analyst would evaluate, but delivered instantly.
How It Works
Coverage is organized into staged reports. The free stages cover genre, tone, and character functions, plus premise and the core story engine. Premium stages go deeper into character opposition, the moral story point, and the pressure your antagonist applies — the areas where most drafts actually break.
What You Get
- Letter grades for each stage of your script's craft
- Page citations pointing to exact moments in your screenplay, so feedback is grounded in what you actually wrote
- Highlights calling out what is working and why
- Three concrete rewrites to try tonight, each tied to a specific scene or page
Sample Coverage
A public sample walks through the classic screenplay Charade by Peter Stone (1963), showing how the tool grades genre and tone, diagnoses the core story engine, and proposes targeted revisions — all with page-level citations.
Pricing
$20, one-time. No subscription. A free starting tier lets you see the first stages of coverage before paying.
