What is Memmy?
Memmy is a local-first AI agent built around a self-evolving memory foundation. It lets your desktop app, CLI, and external AI agents share the same long-term context, so you stop repeating yourself every time you switch tools.
Key Features
- Remember — Memmy automatically reads your local AI collaboration history and turns scattered conversations, preferences, and technical decisions into structured memory.
- Relay — Switch freely between tools like Cursor and Claude; Memmy carries your project context, preferences, and progress across agents.
- Act — Memmy is an agent itself. Hand it tasks directly: organize material, merge plans, or continue unfinished work.
How It Works
- Scan — With your authorization, Memmy scans conversation history from AI tools on your device.
- Organize — Scattered conversations become structured, deduplicated, categorized, and searchable memory.
- Inject — When you switch tools, Memmy hands over the most relevant memory via precise on-demand matching, not a full data dump.
Data Security
- All memory stays local on your own device — never uploaded to remote servers.
- Nothing is collected without your explicit, revocable consent.
- You control which agent can use each memory and how much context is passed.
Availability
Memmy is free and open source, available for macOS 12+ and Windows 10+, with a community on GitHub, Discord, and X.
