Hejour is a day-based notes app for Mac and iPhone built around a simple idea: every day is a page. Instead of folders and notebooks, your writing lives on the day it belongs to — and days can pass notes to each other.
Write on tomorrow, today
Type @ and a small day menu opens right where your caret is. Pick tomorrow, next Monday, or any date, and a section opens for it without leaving today's page. What you write appears on both days at once — "For Tomorrow" here, "From Today" over there — as the same note, never a copy. Jot "pick up the cake" onto Friday while it's still Tuesday, and it's waiting when Friday arrives.
Your meetings, right on the page
Today's calendar events sit above your note, so you write around your day instead of guessing at it. Click an event and its time and title drop in as a heading with the caret waiting underneath. Hejour only reads the calendars you choose — nothing is written back and nothing is uploaded.
Nothing slips through the cracks
Type [ ] to turn any line into a todo. Unfinished todos roll onto today with the day they came from, and checking one off completes it back in its original note. A time like "call the dentist 15:00" becomes a reminder your Mac pings at the right moment.
A streak worth keeping
The flame in the header lights when you write and counts the days you've shown up. Click it for a month calendar with your best streak, current streak, and a dot for every day you left a mark. Miss a single day and the streak holds — no guilt, no starting over.
Your notes stay yours
Notes are plain Markdown files in a folder you can open, optionally locked with Touch ID. Sync runs through the iCloud account you already own — no Hejour account, no servers, no upload. Import from Apple Notes, Craft, Obsidian, Logseq, NotePlan, Bear, or Day One, and export everything back as Markdown anytime.
