What is DuckDeck?
DuckDeck is a lightweight Windows 10/11 app that puts your music volume on a hotkey, so you never have to alt-tab out of a fullscreen game again. Volume up, down, and mute are all rebindable, including multi-key combos for 60% keyboards without media keys.
Key features
- Hotkeys that reach into fullscreen — control Spotify while your game keeps focus.
- Automatic ducking — music fades down when a teammate talks in Discord, then eases back. Works with YouTube and Netflix in your browser too.
- Per-game volume profiles — launch a shooter and music drops to your preset; alt-tab out and it returns.
- Click-through overlay — a small pill shows volume and the current track, then fades away without stealing focus.
- Game audio untouched — DuckDeck only changes your music app's audio, never game, voice chat, or system volume.
Pricing
The Free tier covers volume up/down, mute, a tray slider, and launch at startup. Pro is a one-time €5.99 (incl. VAT) and adds the overlay, auto-ducking, per-game profiles, media hotkeys, and a license for up to 3 PCs. No account, no subscription.
Who it's for
Gamers who listen to music while playing and want it to get quiet when the fight gets loud — and come back when it's over.
