DeepVerify

Chrome extension that fact-checks claims in YouTube videos, web pages, and live audio with verdicts, confidence scores, and cited sources.

Introduction

What is DeepVerify?

DeepVerify is a Chrome extension that brings real-time fact-checking directly into your browser. It works across YouTube videos, web pages, and live audio, so you can verify claims without leaving the content you're reading or watching.

How it works

DeepVerify offers three verification modes:

  • Instant Verify Mode — Highlight any claim on any website and get an immediate verdict with a confidence level.
  • Auto-Detect Mode — The extension automatically scans pages, extracts factual claims, and highlights the ones worth a closer look.
  • Live Audio Mode — Capture your microphone or tab audio, transcribe it in real time, and check claims as they're spoken. Useful for livestreams, webinars, and calls.
What every verdict includes

Each verdict shows its work rather than just a label:

  • A verdict of Verified, False, or Uncertain
  • A confidence score indicating how sure the system is
  • Reasoning explaining the call
  • Sources checked, with links to the documents actually used
  • A Recheck option to run the same claim again
  • A Go deeper option to post unclear claims to factagora.ai for debate
Key features
  • Claims are marked directly on the page where they appear
  • Playback pauses automatically when a false claim comes up in audio
  • Past verdicts are stored in history and can be re-verified anytime
  • Sources include academic databases, established news organizations, government and regulatory sources, and peer-reviewed journals
Pricing
  • Free — 3 docs/day, 20/month, 5 auto-verified claims per doc
  • Pro — $30/mo, 10 docs/day, 150/month, 20 auto-verified claims per doc, 300 min/month of Live STT
  • Max — $220/mo, 60 docs/day, 1,000/month, unlimited claims per doc, 1,200 min/month of Live STT

Yearly billing saves 17%, and the first month is free with a card on file.

Who it's for

DeepVerify is aimed at researchers, investors, journalists, students, and anyone who wants to verify claims quickly while browsing or listening. It's a strong starting point for checking information, though nuanced or fast-moving topics may still warrant additional review.
